I also get the same with chores sometimes. I really need to do the thing while I’m thinking about it otherwise I’ll have “done” it mentally but not physically.

38·5 months agoThe amount of trolling and debatemebros keep going up each thread and it looks like people are just trying to start drama here now rather than report actual mod abuse. I’m not sure how you could improve this, it seems like every one of these kinds of communities turn into drama communities with people at each other’s throats each thread lol. I think temp bans would help for the most egregious offenders, but locking threads after a certain timeframe might be better? Considering the comment threads keep going on and on for some of them.

4·6 months agoUpdates: It should be operational as of tonight. OSM are switching to their new ISP.
You heard it here first…
We should have all service back by the European evening tomorrow (Tuesday). We are switching to the new ISP.
(Minor matter of me having to get new ISP setup working on our routers with some virtual networking required for simultaneous upstream ISPs, and some special VRRP setup required for the new ISP redundancy setup)
The experimental wayland support is looking pretty cool. Looks like there’s been quite a bit of progress towards it in this release.

While I like the dark mode theming for the UI, the map is super washed out now and a lot harder to read. Hopefully there will be a toggle for this so I can go back to the old theme 🤞
Edit: This css makes it look slightly better, probably enough for it to be usable for me..leaflet-tile { filter: contrast(100%)!important; }.
Edit2: This css seems to bring the map tiles back to normal

What I find really cool is that you can look at each individual ballot here. Lots of people didn’t fully fill it out and only voted for a few candidates, but quite a few people completed it as well

6·8 months agoSome highlights from the report after briefly skimming through it.
- CPW1 indicated that they used ChatGPT regularly for around one month prior to the PA Report incident. CPW1 claimed that they used ChatGPT to save time and to present work more professionally.
- DFFH also interviewed staff in CPW1’s team. It was indicated that CPW1’s use of ChatGPT had been well known within the team for a period of around 3 – 4 months and possibly longer, and that they had demonstrated to other team members how it could be used. There were no admissions that other members of the team had used ChatGPT.
- Ultimately, DFFH found there were 100 cases with indicators that ChatGPT may have been used to draft child protection documents. The types of documents involved court reports, case notes, case plans and risk assessments…
- … DFFH identified that nearly 900 employees had accessed the ChatGPT website within this period. This represents almost 13 per cent of DFFH’s workforce of around 7,000 employees.
